Sustainable development is directly related to the new needs for the rational use of natural resources and in constant concern for future generations - sustainable development is a set of cultural values, ethical and behavioral issues, in addition to including economic, ecological and social aspects. Thus, the research is structured from a theoretical field, through bibliographic and documentary research to better explain the topic. It is of utmost importance that the entire population is integrated into the process of building the future and that individuals can be aware of the social, political, economic and environmental role of the city in which they live towards sustainable development. With basic principles of sustainable development, it is possible to create smart solutions that can be applied in different regions of the country, to meet the housing demand of people with less financial conditions and in order to solve other problems related, for example, to social inequality.
