PROSPECTION AND ANALYSIS OF CORRELATIONS BETWEEN SECTORS AND TOTAL PRODUCTION, FOR ESTIMATES OF THE EVOLUTION OF ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES IN THE RIO GRANDE DO SUL COUNTIES
Keywords:
Municipal Macroeconomics, Production Sectors, Economy of MunicipalitiesAbstract
The present work translates into the partial presentation of the research project financed by the State of Rio Grande do Sul Research Foundation (FAPERGS), valid until 12/31/2021, linked to the Interdisciplinary Group of Studies in Management and Public Policies, Development, Communication and Citizenship - GPDeC, from the Postgraduate Program in Regional Development (PPGDR / UNIJUI). The research seeks to search for correlations between productive activities, and, thus, to identify patterns of behavior to instrumentalize more updated forecasts of municipal economic performance, since the statistics are released with a three-year time lag. Methodologically, there is a quantitative approach, with the treatment and analysis of official secondary data, based on the use of the linear regression and correlation method, with the sample field of 497 gaucho municipalities. In a preliminary way, a strong correlation between the Tertiary Sector and Total Production is identified, which may anticipate the opportunity to subsidize the management of the economy of municipalities.
