TEMPORARY INTERVENTION FOR NEW PUBLIC SPACES IN THE PANDEMIC CONTEXT: A PROPOSAL IN PATO BRANCO - PR

Abstract

The city’s social structure it building in many relationships, among them the use of public spaces for leisure activities. Their access is garanteed by it homogeneous distribution, however the extent failure and circulation can be especially worsen in pandemic context, impacting on people’s health and wellness who lives in zones without social spaces. Thus, the avaliable public spaces’ were identified in Pato Branco, on South-west of Paraná, as well the existing public transport itinerary on urban perimeter during the pandemic. As a theoretical exercise to minimizing this scenario, were sketched temporary proposals based on tactical urbanism, presenting positive aspects and difficulties of collective appropriation on three tipologies: covered parking without use on Sundays, vacant lot and a large and quiet street.
