TRADITIONAL TERRITORIES AND TERRITORIES OF DIFFERENCE: THE CASE OF THE REALOCATION OF THE CAIÇARA COMMUNITY OF ENSEADA DA BALEIA, SP

Abstract

The aim of this work is to discuss some concepts as territories of difference,  based  on  a  case  study  and  the  instruments  for recognizing tradicional peoples‟ territories as an element of dispute for coexisting  rationalities.  The  research  used  qualitative methodological   procedures   to   conduct   a   case   study,   combining   participant   research   through   focus    groups,    with representatives from the Enseada da Baleia community. Among the results found, there are reports of a realocation  processo  f a caiçara community, as well as fragments of the ontological relationship   established   with   the   territory   that   point   to   na understanding of the need to recognize the pluriverses.
