CHARACTERIZATION OF THE DELPHI METHOD: THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS

Abstract

This article aimed to characterize the Delphi method, from the reading of works that used this methodology in field research. It is a descriptive and exploratory study based on specialized publications on the subject. Results show that this is a highly effective method, which convert an interview with experts in perceptions of the topic at hand. They also show that it is a simple, economical methodology that offers reliability to the results. Finally, in conclusion, its application leads to dense results on important, complex and comprehensive topics, allowing the researchers a deeper reading of the reality of the phenomenon studied.
