THE PERSPECTIVE OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE PPGDR - FURB

Abstract

In the Graduate Program in Regional Development at the Regional University of Blumenau there is a wide-ranging discussion about what is development and its applications at a regional level. This article presents results from a data collection done on the Lattes curricula of the nineteen professors from the program. Tables with the main areas of education of each faculty member (undergraduate, master's, doctoral, and post-doctoral) were constructed. The goal of the systematization was to analyze whether the activities of the program professors are focused on the regional issue. The second part of the research study focused on the qualitative survey of the faculty members' journal productions in the period from 2017 to 2021. The results present the tabulated part of the data from the first and the second part of the survey, with a brief discussion of each point raised. Overall, what is discussed by regional is not its theoretical framework, but rather a scale for the discussion of development and the problem raised by the authors.
