Discussions about technology parks and incubators started in Brazil in the 1980s. The present article sought to analyze how the specific Brazilian literature addresses technology parks and incubators. The methodological path that led to this research allows to consider it as explanatory research, of qualitative analysis, based on the method of bibliographic research. As a referral, the documentary analysis was made through collections from secondary sources found in the repository of the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations. As a next step, it was necessary to delimit a methodological approach to obtain the sample. Then, only theses produced in the last twenty years (1999 to 2019) were adopted as a time limit. Initially, the collection totaled twenty-five theses that addressed the chosen theme. Thus, after reading and analyzing it, it was possible to notice that six of these theses were not intended in their central theme for the study of technological parks and or incubators, thus being discarded. In the end, it was possible to obtain a total of nineteen theses. Furthermore, it was possible to categorize the theses found in seven central axes: analysis; proposition; prospection; governance; knowledge management; networks; share capital. The vast majority of the works listed are the results of qualitative research. UFSC and UFSCAR stand out as institutions that hold the largest number of selected works. Finally, it is recommended to deepen this analysis, aiming to extract the set of indicators and variables that were used in the context of each of the analyzed theses, enabling the formation of theoreticalmethodological framework for the construction of an analysis tool in these ecosystems.
