Abstract

In the last decades emphasis has been placed on research on organizational commitment in order to understand the individual-organization binomial. In this direction, the present work sought to know the behavioral intentions of employees and managers of companies of the third sector of the city of Passo Fundo, Rio Grande do Sul, about the organizational commitment. The study was characterized as quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional, obtaining the primary data through the use of Survey-type survey, via the Internet, to a non-probabilistic sample for the convenience of 84 individuals. The main results indicate that employees and managers are effectively linked to the organization by affective aspects, conditioned to affective commitment. Besides that, when it comes to behavioral intentions, employees have higher averages when it comes to better performance and productivity.
