Is there more intelligence in the pointed arch, in ribbed vault, in buttresses of the Gothic churches, in the five points of Le Corbusier's new architecture, in the reinforced concrete of Niemeyer‟s, or in an autochthonous Mbya Guarani architecture? Based on this analysis, it is intended to discuss the phenomenon of culture, at first evidencing the need to leave behind the evolutionist precepts that still hover in the Western imagination, in relation to an evolutionary hierarchy between civilizations and also, from the notion of constructive cultures, talk about Tim Ingold's in „„dwelling perspective‟‟ and then build a dialogue based on the production of the Mbyá Guarani shelters, their relationship with the environment, the spirituality, the way of organizing work and also the systems of dissemination and construction of knowledge. Orienting towards the reflection of how certain societies produced constructive technologies more legitimized by factors linked to cultural tradition than to western hegemonic technical reason, which neither reduces the character of intelligence, but rather reinforces the wealth of the power of adaptation and development of techniques capable of solving their problems and solving their needs for shelter and social interaction.
