INNOVATION IN AN INSTITUTION OF THE FEDERAL EDUCATION NETWORK:
ANALYSIS OF TECHNOLOGICAL INCUBATORS

In this article, we sought to talk about Innovation, having as a locus of study the technological
incubators of IFFar - Campus Santa Rosa, located in the Northwest of the State of RS, in the region of Fronteira. Bibliographic research was carried out on the subject, for the empirical study, detailed searches were carried out on the IFFar website. The objective was limited to analyzing the process of structuring innovation in the Institution in view of the implementation of technological incubators, analyzing regulations, organization and potential for development. It was found that IFFar develops initiatives to boost innovation in its units of operation, it has an organizational structure for this, however, it is necessary to strengthen the culture of
innovation with the academic community and allocation of financial support for new investments. The potential of incubators to promote innovation and development of border regions is envisaged, providing competitive advantages for new businesses and generating economic growth at the most different scales.
